JI65 GATHERING AT BAB'S

Assalamu alaikum warahmatu Allahi wabarakatuh.
It was a pleasant gathering of A
Aziz Ishak, Muhamad Shahlan Yob, Dr Syed
Abdul Kadir Al Sagoff, Abdullah
Abdul Hamid, Roslan Karimuddin, Rosli @ Ideris Adam,

Abu Bakar Hashim, Hanafi

Coffee Table Book:
1. A special blog will be developed by LanK for all
communications relating to the CTB, accessible to all JI65
members.
2. Bakaq will create an email address for all JI65 members
to submit their works for the CTB.
3. A regular meeting, approximately once a month, will be
held to ensure progress of the CTB development.
We solicit from all JI65 citizens for any form of written
works that can be included in our CTB. As was said before,
there is no restriction as to what you may write for as long
as it is legal, not seditious, and not morally unpalatable.
The editorial board will vet, select, decide and design the
CTB according to the articles received. A special email
address will be created by Bakaq for us to submit our
works. Bakaq will inform us by email.
We appeal again to each and everyone of us for pictures that
may be relevant for publishing in our CTB. As was said
earlier, please place them in an envelope, marked your name
for us to return back to you once scanned. And, please
inform me when you have done it to arrange for collection.
Let me echo Bakaq's words: the time-frame available now may
not permit us to produce the CTB within the scheduled time
but we shall ensure that the quality will be superior.

40th Anniversary Event (October 16-18, 2009)
It was decided that this is our 40th Anniversary event and
not 44th.
It was agreed that reservation for accommodation for the
Perak River Resort be made as soon as possible for 20 pax
(dormitory) and 15 rooms. Would Wan Hamzah please explore
and proceed to make the reservation. We note deposit may be
required; please let us know details.
Program details will be developed soon. Amongst the main
feature will be a donation of some form to be made to the
College to make the event meaningful as our 40th Anniversary
event, besides a stage performance and dialogue with
students (eg
career guidance).
Therefore:-
1. We encourage every JI65 membership participation in this
event; please submit your names by return email to indicate
your commitment in your diary for this event. Note:
spouses are encouraged to join.
2. We encourage financial pledges for the contribution to
be given to the College. Please submit your names by return
email too. You may use my private email

The next meeting to discuss these two items will be Sunday
July 5th at 3.30 pm at Bakaq's house @ D-1-1, University
Apartments, University Islam Antarabangsa, Km 17, Jalan
Gombak. All JI65 citizens who can contribute in the
development of these two items are most welcome to this
meeting.
