Jubli Intan 65 Activities for September 2007

The activities that were organised for September 2007 were as follows:-

Monthly Lunch Gathering

There was no lunch gathering for this mointh due to the Ramadhan month. The gathering for October 2007 as usual shall be held on the last Tuesday of the month, which is 30th October 2007 at the same veneu, The Lake Club. G8 Golf Committee Meeting

The year 2008 is the turn of our batch to organise the above G8 Golf Tournament. The committee members who had volunteered to help organise the tournament had conducted 3 meetings. The Minutes of the last 2 meetings as reported by brother Mizi are as follows: -

Minutes of meeting on 28 Aug 2007

a. Dato' Sidek and Rashid to check on the package offered by Sg Long.

b. Other clubs considered were Glenmarie, IOI Palm Garden.

c. Package must include:- Breakfast & Lunch, Green Fees, Buggy and Caddy, Refreshment Hut opened during competition.

2. Goodies ( Bas and India)

a. Goody bag not required, will use brand sponsored paper bag.

b. T-shirt (Designed)

c. Balls, Tees and Towels (Designed)

It was planned to take advantage of this occasion to bring all our batch together for high tea same day at 4.00pm. Ronchy Boys are requested to perform during prize giving lunch and high tea. Ahmad Fauzi was also requested to perform.

1. Venue (Joe)

Clubs considered were:

a. Glenmarie (RM180) - Rashid to check with TSSS.

b. Nilai Spring (RM130) - Dato' Sani

c. Kota Permai (RM175)

d. Templer Park (RM130)

e. Sg Long (RM220)

Glenmarie was short listed with Kota Permai as second choice.

2. Goodies ( Bas and India)

a. Paper bag with T-Shirt & Cap. Balls & Towel, and other sponsored items.

b. 2 designs - one for lunch for all golfers (120), two for players and volunteers from JI65 (20+60). We will need 40 volunteers.

3. Prizes (Jed)

a. Special Prizes - best dress team during game & lunch

b. Main Prizes - 15 Gross, 15 Stableford Points, best house, best batch (one prize winner)

c. Novelties - golf items

d. Others - magnetic bracelets and other sponsored items

4. Photographer (Aznam & Tarmizi)

a. Print one set, dvd 1 set for all participants

5. Souvenir Program

a. We need volunteers to assist in producing a quality souvenir program.

6. Secretariat/ Rules & Regulations (Tarmizi)

a. Format of Play - Stableford and Gross (max: dbl par)

b. Team consists of 8 to 10 golfers

c. Write letters to all members of JI65 inviting them and wives for the high tea and invite to be volunteers for the game.

d. Write letters to all potential sponsors.

e. Jed has opened an account specifically for G8-2008. Contributors can deposit into the MAYBANK account number: 5141 0512 1795, name of account: Abdul Aziz Ishak. Please fax the deposit slip to 03-5638 2711. We will need to raise RM25,000 for the costs of organising the game and the high tea.
